There has been an on-going battle in the courts that female ski jumpers have the right to compete in the upcoming Olympic winter games.

Kelowna resident, and Gold Medal winner Ross Rebagliati says he understands their frustation as his sport, snowboarding, went thru the same thing.

Rebagaliati says in the 'old days' snowboarders weren't even allowed to ride the chairlifts...Rebagaliati has a new book out called ``Off The Chain, An Insider's History of Snowboarding.''
