Kelowna, BC

The long weekend approaches, which also means the start of the highly anticipated annual event, Centre of Gravity.

Due to the expectation of large crowds for the duration of the weekend, the Kelowna RCMP will be enhancing its policing to ensure people enjoy the event safely. There will be zero tolerance for open alcohol and drug consumption as well as public drunkenness or other disturbing behaviours.

Fines for liquor-related offences range from $115 to $230. Possession of drugs, or other criminal offences, may be referred to Crown Counsel for prosecution.

The Kelowna RCMP wishes everyone to have a fun and safe holiday weekend.
