The Okanagan Sun and British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) is pleased to announce that defensive lineman Steven Doege is the “BC Lions Defensive Player of the Week.”

The Kelowna native simply had a great game against Kamloops, compiling three tackles, one assist, two quarterback sacks, a forced fumble and one fumble recovery.  Doege, like Andrew Harris before him, is practicing with the Lions during the week, then playing with the Sun on the weekend.

The Sun (1-1) will visit the Vancouver Island Raiders (1-0-1) on Saturday, kick off is set for 5:00pm.
