Police are seeking the public's assistance as they continue to investigate a violent home invasion robbery that occurred just after 4:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Martin Avenue in the City of Kelowna on June 12th, 2012.

As initially reported, police had responded to the residence after witnesses called to report a possible break & enter in progress.  Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang and seeing two males fleeing the residence on foot.   Police initially located three occupants of the home suffering from a variety of injuries including the affects of having been bear sprayed.  The investigation that ensued led police to seize over 25 Kg of marihuana, and it is believed the marihuana was the intended target of the robbery attempt.  The follow up investigation also led police to believe that the suspects had discharged a firearm inside the residence.  Later in the day a fourth occupant from the residence showed up at hospital with injuries including a gunshot wound to his torso.  This male was treated for his injuries and released from hospital that evening.

Police continue to investigate this crime and are asking anyone who may have observed anything suspicious, or have further information, to contact Cpl. HAFTNER at the Kelowna RCMP Detachment at (250)762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by email at www.crimestoppers.net
